CKMA Industry Insight: Factory Visit to Rosehill Group

Date:

November 10, 2026 9:30 am

Join CKMA for our next members-only factory visit and help us welcome West Yorkshire mayor Tracy Brabin to the Calder Valley as we demonstrate our local manufacturing expertise and innovation capability whilst learning from Rosehill about the secrets of their successful owner-managed business, which has recently seen very tangible international growth, high value markets and ability to diversify

Rosehill Group has been developing and manufacturing specialist polymer systems for more than 30 years. From its manufacturing sites in the Calder Valley, the business supplies products and technologies to customers around the world across highways, rail, drainage, sports and play, security, energy and specialist chemical applications.

The visit will take place at Rosehill’s Spring Bank Mills facility, where guests will be able to tour the manufacturing operation, see a range of production processes in action and learn more about how the business has developed from a local specialist manufacturer into an international exporter.

The visit will also provide an opportunity to hear from Rosehill about its continued investment in West Yorkshire, the role of innovation and product development in driving growth, and the opportunities and challenges facing UK manufacturers competing in global markets.

What will be discussed

During the visit, Rosehill will share insight into:

  • The growth of Rosehill Group and the development of its specialist manufacturing operations in Calderdale
  • How innovation, materials technology and product development support growth across multiple sectors
  • The role of exports in the company’s continued expansion
  • Investment in local manufacturing, facilities and skilled employment
  • The relationship between international growth and the local West Yorkshire economy
  • Some of the practical challenges facing UK manufacturers operating in global markets

Who should attend

This visit is aimed at manufacturers, engineering and business leaders, operations and technical professionals, and organisations involved in supporting manufacturing and economic growth across Calderdale, Kirklees and the wider West Yorkshire region. (CKMA members only)

It will be particularly relevant to those interested in manufacturing growth, innovation, exports, materials technology, sustainability, skills and investment.

What attendees can expect to learn

Guests will gain an insight into how Rosehill develops and manufactures products for demanding infrastructure and industrial applications, and how the business combines specialist materials knowledge with practical manufacturing capability.

The tour will also explore how a Calderdale-based manufacturer can grow internationally while continuing to invest locally, create skilled employment and retain manufacturing capability within West Yorkshire.
