M Thornton Engineering Ltd have experience of working in the nuclear, oil and gas, valve manufacture, pump manufacture, transmission, and construction sectors.

The family owned and run business was founded in 1988 by the current M.D. Michael Thornton and family members still work in all aspects of the business providing a personal service throughout.

With a reputation for training and retaining apprentices we pride ourselves on our hard-working team who take a pride in their work.

Manufactured components supplied complete and from customer free issue materials with full certification and traceability available inclusive of all processes not available in house e.g. grinding, surface coatings, heat treatment, non-destructive testing, etc.

Specialist machining experience of plastics, ferrous, and non-ferrous alloys, inclusive of high temperature alloys, such as inconel and monel.

One hit manufacturing with our Mazak Integrex twin spindle machine.
