The company was formed as a family partnership in 1939 and located in the north of Huddersfield. The present company title was adopted in 1955 and a year later a move was made to the present site in Honley, a few miles to the south of the town.

To-day engineering products and services are supplied to industrial and higher education customers world-wide. These include experimental apparatus for University engineering/physics testings, sensors, pressure gauges and measuring instruments.
